HOW TO PLAY PLAYSTATION 2 GAMES ON PC

As everyone who has experienced the Sony PlayStation era, it would be nice to remember the yang years when we played: Mortal Kombat, Need for Speed Underground, WRC, Tekken, Crash Bandicoot and many more interesting games. So here I found the emulator where you can play PS2 games.

Installation instruction

First, download PCSX2 binaries emulator from the link here. Then extract the archive to your hard disk. After that download, PS2 BIOS files from here.

When you download BIOS files you need to extract them in the PCSX2 folder, like in the picture:

Now you can open pcsx2.exe file and configure a BIOS

Choose Config -> Plugin/BIOS Selector -> BIOS -> Browse extracted BIOS directory like we do before -> choose country (this should be chosen depending on what type of game you will download: USA, Europe or other versions). Here are website where you can download USA games and here are Europe version games.

Controller setup

When you already choose BIOS and download game we can configure a controller. If you have a gamepad you can just go to Config -> Controllers (PAD) -> Plugin Settings...

When you open controller option windows you can choose Pad 1 or Pad 2 and configure how you want, like in the picture below is a preview, just click with the mouse on "Up" and click on your gamepad arrow up button to set control and do this with all keys.

If you want to set your PC keyboard controllers, then go to General settings and uncheck: XInput (Xbox 360 controllers only), then go to Pad 1 and do the steps like in preview before.

Getting started to play

When it's all done, you can start to play a game. Click to CDVD -> Iso Selector -> Browse... Choose the game iso file where you download and open it.

When you browse a game choose System -> Boot CDVD (Full) and you are ready to play! :)
